💾 installing the software install & set up remote play before using zen link™, make sure playstation®5 remote play is installed and fully configured on your pc keep zen studio™ updated zen studio™ will usually prompt you when a new version is available, this also updates the zenlinkconfigurator exe file automatically manual reinstallation (if needed) if zen studio™ doesn’t prompt for updates or zen link™ isn’t functioning correctly, manually reinstall the latest version of step 1 install zen studio docid\ uvmc vw2ci8sd09izj4ep 🔎 check your zenlinkconfigurator exe version if your zenlinkconfigurator exe was not built on april 3rd, 2025 (or later) delete the outdated file reinstall step 1 install zen studio docid\ uvmc vw2ci8sd09izj4ep to ensure you have the correct version ⬆️ update your cronus zen™ firmware it’s highly important to update your step 2 update firmware docid 7cpnl5scntyu9b2dwqiyb before continuing zen studio™ will usually prompt you if a new firmware version is available 🔊 headset & mic support with zen link™ cronus zen™ acts as a soundcard , enabling headset audio and microphone input during zen link™ remote play sessions ✅ for this to work your controller must be connected to the cronus zen via a wired connection ⚠️ audio limitations with bluetooth® controllers 3 5mm audio and microphone will not work over a wireless bluetooth® controller connection in this case, use either a usb wired headset, or a wireless headset compatible with ps5® ⚠️ dualsense® built‑in audio limitations the built‑in microphone and speaker on the dualsense® controller are not supported when using zen link™ 🛠️ preparing zen link™ for ps5® remote play to set up zen link™ for ps5® support via remote play remote play must be installed and running on your windows® 10/11 pc you must be logged in and have successfully connected to your ps5® console at least once before setting up the zen link™ device setting up remote play visit the official remote play setup page for step‑by‑step instructions the windows® pc version of remote play must be used once setup is complete and you’ve connected to your ps5® console at least once , close the remote play application before continuing 📡 initial zen link setup 1️⃣ step 1 to copy over your wi‑fi credentials , make sure your windows® 10/11 pc is unplugged from wired internet (ethernet) and connected to a 2 4 ghz wi‑fi network 2️⃣ step 2 if your wi‑fi network uses different credentials for 5 ghz and 2 4 ghz , connect the pc to the 2 4 ghz network if your pc doesn’t have wi‑fi , you’ll enter your ssid and password manually during setup 3️⃣ step 3 connect your zen link™ to your windows® 10/11 pc using the included short cable 4️⃣ step 4 enter zenlinkconfigurator mode hold the config button for at least 5 seconds while plugging into your pc leds turn purple purple then orange orange = wi‑fi connected blinking red blinking red = wi‑fi not set up 5️⃣ step 5 install or update to the latest version of step 1 install zen studio docid\ uvmc vw2ci8sd09izj4ep to keep zenlinkconfigurator exe up to date 6️⃣ step 6 ⚠️ windows 11 only turn location services on settings → privacy & security → location 7️⃣ step 7 run zenlink configurator with administrator rights right‑click the desktop shortcut click run as administrator if prompted, select yes to open the configurator ▶️ proceeding with setup the configurator will display its current status in the output console in the “wi‑fi settings” section click read settings from windows to copy your wi‑fi credentials must be 2 4 ghz ⚠️ if your pc doesn’t have wi‑fi , manually type in your ssid and password ☑️ checkmark “use 40 mhz bandwidth” (optional) this can help reduce lag or disconnections on your zen link™ if there’s network interference ⚡ flash‑only mode option if you are using the ps5® “bypass method” (or a different console like ps4® or xbox® ) and only want to use the cronus™ zenlink web app feature , skip to the flash only mode section checkmark “gamepacks/scripts flash only” leave this unchecked if you want to use “ps5 remote play mode” under device control , click save all to device , then click restart device after zen link™ restarts, its leds should turn orange orange to confirm wi‑fi is connected the firmware update will begin, the device leds will blink blue blue , and the configurator’s status bar will display “flashing” with progress ⚠️ do not unplug the device wait until you see “done rebooting device ” the leds will turn orange orange again, zen link™ has rebooted and is ready for use! if unplugged and plugged back in, an led will briefly flash to confirm zen console mode is ready click yes to close the configurator, then unplug zen link™ zen link™ is now configured with your 2 4 ghz wi‑fi credentials and, if applicable, your psn® login details your pc is no longer required for connection you can return your pc to its usual internet setup ⚙️ one time initial setup ℹ️ before you begin make sure your windows® pc is connected to a 2 4 ghz wi‑fi network do not use ethernet this setup is a one‑time process , you’ll only need to repeat it if you change your wi‑fi settings or psn® profile 💡 note many routers combine 2 4 ghz and 5 ghz under the same credentials 1️⃣ step 1 double click on zenlinkconfigurator exe file download here https //cdn shopify com/s/files/1/0301/9790/7501/files/zenlinkconfigurator exe?v=1724262455 2️⃣ step 2 click ' read settings from windows ' ensure it is the 2 2 4ghz wi fi credentials 3️⃣ step 3 click ' load console data ' click ' save all to device ' click ' restart device ' 4️⃣ step 4 after the restart, the leds should turn orange orange to confirm wi fi is connected 5️⃣ step 5 the zen link™ firmware update will start, indicated by blinking blue leds blue leds do not do not remove the device, and wait until the firmware update is confirmed as completed you check the status bar for progress 6️⃣ step 6 once the firmware update is completed, the leds will turn back to orange orange 7️⃣ step 7 zen link™ has now restarted in zen mode and disconnected from the zen configurator it is ready for use!
