In-Game Settings

This is a list of every in-game setting that you need to match before using the GamePack. If you fail to match these settings this GamePack WILL NOT WORK!

⛔ IMPORTANT PRE-GAME

To ensure the correct performance of this GamePack, we strongly recommend you closely follow these new pre-game installation guidelines. This applies even to users who already have the GamePack installed. Trust us, it's worth the extra effort - the test results have been amazing. 🤯

If you find your weapon is not beaming even though all your in-game settings are correct, don't panic! After incorporating some great community feedback, we've identified a straightforward fix: perform a hard reset on your Zen, adjust a few in-game menu settings, and erase the Saved Data file.

Essentially, it's all about aligning all the in-game settings to their true baseline.

  1. Perform a Hard Reset on the Zen, which will clear all memory slots and settings.
  2. Xbox Button > Highlight Call of Duty® Modern Warfare 2 > Press Menu > Manage Game and Add-ons > Select Saved Data > Delete All PS Button > Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Select Saved Data (PS4), Select Console Storage > select Delete, Tick Call of Duty® Modern Warfare 2 and select Delete.
  3. Zen Studio > Programmer Tab - Program the latest COD: MW2 [BEAM] GamePack to the first memory slot.
  4. Match up all the In-Game Settings and you'll be BEAMING in no time!

🔶 BUTTON LAYOUT

All default button layout presets are available in this GamePack, and any custom layout you may be using. See Menu Options below for the complete list.

💡INFO: We recommend playing with the Tactical layout, as you don't have to move your thumb off the AIM stick to press the crouch button.

🔶 DEADZONE

The Deadzone is an invisible circle around the center of your analog stick where any movement you make doesn't impact the game. This handy feature exists mainly because, over time, analog sticks can become a bit faulty due to wear and tear. This sometimes results in a frustrating issue called 'stick drift,' where your aim shifts even though you're not moving the stick. The GamePack supports a deadzone value between 0 (0.00 In-Game) and 35 (0.35 In-Game). We recommend a value of 5 (0.05 In-Game) for both analog sticks.

🕹️ STICK DRIFT

There's a sinking feeling that's the worst when your controller starts acting on its own. Stick drift, where the analog sticks register input without your touch, has been a major issue for players in recent years.

But don't worry, deadzone settings offer a solution to address stick drift without having to replace your analog sticks.

If your controller is experiencing stick drift or if you prefer greater control over speed, we recommend setting the Left Stick Deadzone to '5', Right Stick Deadzone to '5', with a Sensitivity range of 3 (0.03 In-Game)-5 (0.05 In-Game), and ADS multiplier is usually set to 1.0. This setting maintains responsiveness while effectively minimizing most instances of stick drift.

On the other hand, if your analog sticks are perfectly calibrated or you want a highly responsive character that detects even the slightest joystick movement, you can try setting a stick Deadzone to '0'. Just keep in mind that you might need to fine-tune Look Sensitivity and the Weapon's XY values for optimal results.

🔶 IN-GAME SETTING REQUIREMENTS

MODS such as Anti-Recoil are designed and tested around the REQUIRED In-Game requirements. Deviating from the settings below may have MODS not perform at their best.

  • Controller Vibration: Enabled
  • ADS Sensitivity Multiplier: 1.00
  • Aim Down Sight Behavior: Hold
  • Custom Sensitivity Per Zoom: Off
  • Depleted Ammo Weapon Switch: Disabled
  • Interact/Reload Behavior: Tap To Reload
  • FOV: 80

🔶 SENSITIVITY

This refers to your ADS Sensitivity (Look Sensitivity ADS in-game) controls how fast your character turns or aims while Aiming Down Sights (ADS). You can set this anywhere from 1 (slowest) to 20 (fastest). A value between 4 is recommended for most users as this offers a good balance of steady aim and ability to maintain on target.

High sensitivity means quicker turning which is great for tracking fast-moving targets. Lower sensitivity, on the other hand, offers more control and precision, but with slower turning speed - ideal for maintaining steady aim or using snipers.

🔶 RESPONSE CURVE

The response curve settings refer to how the game translates your analog stick movements into on-screen character movements. This GamePack currently supports all deadzone options 'Standard', 'Linear', and 'Dynamic.'

Standard Response Curve: Small stick movements result in slower character movement, while large stick movements result in much faster character movement. It's not a 1:1 ratio. This setting is excellent for players who prefer a slower and more precise aim when making minor adjustments, but still want the ability to turn quickly when moving the stick further. This is the preferred option for controller users as it helps maintain tighter stick control.

Linear Response Curve: The game translates your stick movements into on-screen action on a 1:1 basis. In other words, all stick movements result in a proportionate amount of character movement. Small stick movements mean small character movements, and large stick movements mean large character movements, all at a consistent ratio. This is the preferred option for mouse users as it helps maintain smooth, consistent movement.

Dynamic Response Curve: This option is a blend between Standard and Linear providing fine aim control while allowing for quick large movements. This popular option will allow for greater control of your weapon and allow you to easily go from enemy to enemy dominating the battlefield.

💡TIPS

The default Response Curve setting for this game is Standard. This value has been determined as the most optimal for the GamePack's built-in Anti-Recoil stabilization patterns. We find some users like to set the Response Curve to LINEAR for increased camera movement or 'DYNAMIC' for fine aim control. However you should expect to have to manually enter higher Anti-Recoil X&Y values for that weapon. You can also use the Jump Toggle VIEW/TOUCHPAD + LT/L2 to go straight to the Anti-Recoil Adjustable menu for fast, real-time tuning.

🔶 BLOCK VIBRATION

This option blocks all physical rumble signals sent from the game. However, it still allows the GamePack to read the digital rumble digital signals which are essential for the correct function of this GamePack.

💡INFO: The in-game controller vibration option must ALWAYS be enabled, even if you don't like rumble. The GamePack option will enable or disable whether the physical rumbles can be felt on the controller.

🎯 ATTACHMENTS

Base Anti-Recoil is optimized using weapons without attachments and with iron sights or optics of less than 1.5x magnification.

The [BEAM] GamePack Anti-Recoil MOD allows you to to select Attachments for Anti-Recoil MOD through the GamePack menu.

Both Primary and Secondary weapons support up to 5 attachments. These attachments can either increase or decrease the recoil by a predetermined percentage for the selected weapon. For example, equipping a Commando Foregrip on a Kastov 545 or FR AVANCER will reduce recoil by approximately 3%. In the OLED menu, you'll find Custom 1, Custom 2, Custom 3, Custom 4, and Custom 5 options for both primary and secondary weapons.

Each profile allows you to customize the Anti-Recoil MOD value. You have the flexibility to raise or lower the Anti-Recoil value for each of these Custom profiles.

For instance, you can assign Grips to Custom 1, Stocks to Custom 2, Underbarrels to Custom 3, and so on. These settings can be applied universally across all weapon profiles. For instance, given that the Commando Foregrip reduces recoil by 3%, you can set Custom 1 to approximately "-3" and then Custom 1 would be used for the Commando Foregrip. This enables you to apply Custom 1 as the Commando Foregrip across all your Weapon Profiles.

Currently, you can configure up to 40 custom attachments, which can be mixed and matched across all your loadouts. We're actively working on full attachment support, which will be introduced in a forthcoming update. This upcoming feature will include preset attachment values, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.

This isn't actually part of the in-game settings menu, but it gets missed sometimes as using attachments as part of the built-in game mechanics is a brand new feature, so it's here as a reminder that it's important to match the attachments you are using in-game with the GamePack.

You will find these instructions and more on The M.O.D.s page 👍
