Aim Assist
Aim Assist is a common feature for console shooter games to compensate for the deficiency of using a controller. Most games' Aim Assist will snap towards the target or reduce aiming speed if you're close to it keeping you on target.
This new "Aim Assist" is from the GPC Godfather himself "Batts". This MOD was reworked from the ground to provide the best possible tracking and stickiness when using a ZEN. The all-new algorithm will keep its full potential even when used with Anti-Recoil MOD. Allowing you to effortlessly track a moving opponent whenever they are moving slow, fast, or jumping. Never before has there been an "Aim Assist" this powerful, requiring minimal stick movement to keep up with targets. Aim Assist Adjustable Values.
Info: Aim Assist Adjustables
Aim Assist: ADS Strength (1 - 50): Set the strength of Aim Assist while aiming down sights and not firing. This controls the intensity of the right stick movement. Higher values will shake more and be noticeable onscreen. This is in general good for close-range and non sniper weapons. A lower value shake less generally which is better for far range and scoped weapons. It is recommended to use a balance which is how the default value has been set. If this is set too high and you do not like the screen shake then slightly lower the value of this variable.
Aim Assist: ADS Step (1 - 50): Set the speed of Aim Assist while aiming down sights and not firing. This controls how fast the right stick rotates in a circular pattern. Higher values will rotate faster. This is in general good for close-range and non sniper weapons. A lower value rotates slower generally which is better for far-range and scoped weapons. It is recommended to use a balance which is how the default value has been set.
What is the best way to set Aim Assist? A good starting point is to make ADS Strength +1 or +2 more than your deadzone. The step values control how fast the aim assist moves. Slower is generally better for long-range and faster for short-range. In general, regardless of ADS Strength, we recommend a value of 15 for ADS Step. Below is a guide for using the none ALC option for Look Deadzone.
When Batts Aim Assist is in use along with Anti Recoil the Aim Assist will pause while Anti Recoil corrections are applied to your weapon. This is to ensure the best possible Anti Recoil without interference from the Aim Assist mod. Those that would like to have an Aim Assist run at the same time will need to choose Taylor V6. This will slightly degrade recoil performance while allowing for stickier tracking while firing.
In addition to this Aim Assist styles (None, Batts, or Taylor) may be assigned to your Primary or Secondary weapon if you prefer a certain style to be used with a weapon in your active profile. When these options are used the desired option is automatically loaded when switching from your Primary to Secondary weapon. For example, you may prefer Batts Aim Assist for medium to long-range when using a Flatline and then when up close prefer to use the Taylor style as it can be used in combination with Anti Recoil.
It is highly recommended to use "Batts" Aim Assist for those new to the Apex GamePack. This option runs globally whether your primary or secondary weapon is in use and across all profiles. Those who are seeking a more custom feel now have the option to do so based on the weapon in use along with the active profile in use. When adjusting the adjustables for Aim Assist this will affect both Taylor and Batt's options. The difference between the two is in how each is made providing slightly different performance.
