Everything you need to know about Cronus Zen's (current) PlayStation® 5 support.
As of Jan 24th 2024, Cronus Zen needs to be connected to any Windows® PC or Apple Mac® running the PS Remote Play software if you wish to play games on a PlayStation® 5.
This page will explain how to get it setup and ready for use with the Cronus Zen in just a few minutes. If there is ever an update to this setup, you will find it posted here.

Absolutely! Connect a DualSense® controller to A1 and a DUALSHOCK4® to A3.
If you don't have access to a DualSense® controller, you can also try connecting a controller to A3. When PS Remote Play is enabled in Zen Studio, it emulates an official DUALSHOCK4® no matter which controller you are using.
Note: The DUALSHOCK4® v2 (CUH-ZCT2) offers better stability with Cronus Zen over the original DS4v1 (CUH-ZCT1).
As long as you have a DualSense® controller connected to A1, you can connect any supported licensed controller to A3, and it will work with all PS5 games.
You will find the complete list of known supported controllers for each console on their dedicated support pages.
Note: If you have a device that works but not listed, drop a note at cronus.support and we'll make sure it is added. 😁👍
Most PlayStation games require the Touchpad to access in-game menus. Cronus Zen automatically maps the Xbox Sync button to Touchpad Press so you're able to access PlayStation controller exclusive areas with an Xbox Controller.
Not anymore! Since May 12th, 2023, just connect your DualSense® controller to A1 for uninterrupted play on all PS5 and supported PS4 games (requires minimum firmware version 2.2.2).
No, this method from 2021 is outdated and no longer required. We still see them for sale for up to $50 - DO NOT BUY ONE IT IS NOW USELESS!
Assuming you have followed the correct setup steps, as of October 2023, you must disable Bluetooth in the PS5 settings and the controller must be fully charged (Zen does not charge the controller).

We recommend using a powered USB hub with a 5v AUX port when using Cronus Zen to game on a PS5. This connects to your PC/Mac and the Zen connects to the hub. In almost every case, this will solve most, if not all issues with PS5 disconnecting, not pairing the controller, laggy response, no rumbles and no adaptive triggers.
The Cronus MK Switch + Powered Hub/5v Aux is now available from cronus.shop
Using devices like Cronus Zen may be against the End User License Agreement (EULA) of some games. We strongly advise against using Cronus Zen in games that prohibit such devices.
However, we also want to inform you that:
- As of , every GamePack marked with a green check ✅ has been thoroughly tested with the top games and their latest patches without any issues.
- If you're concerned about the risk of bans due to playing with M.O.D.s, don't play with M.O.D.s.
Remember, always respect the game's rules and the gaming community.

- Navigate to System > Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode
- Disable Stay Connected to the Internet.
